Its off-road abilities I moved from a 4.0 ZJ to a 4.7 WJ and I would never look back. The drivability on the road is just that much better imo. Having said that, I would still like to have a ZJ on hand because they seem to have quicker steering and feel lighter and sportier. As for maintenance, I would much rather work on the 4.0 due to having more room.
